Apply for the RES Course
The Real Estate Salesperson (RES) Course is a mandatory pre-licensing course for individuals who wish to become real estate salespersons in Singapore.
This comprehensive course will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills required to provide professional real estate agency services in Singapore.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the RES Course, applicants must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Have a minimum of 4 GCE 'O' Level passes, including a pass in English Language; OR
- Have attained a higher qualification such as GCE 'A' Levels, diploma or degree
- Be a Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or eligible to work in Singapore
Course Structure
The RES Course consists of 6 modules covering various aspects of real estate practice in Singapore:
Module 1
Professional Estate Agency Practices & Law
Module 2
Law of Contract & Property Law
Module 3
Conveyancing Law & Procedures
Module 4
Leasing Law & Procedures
Module 5
Housing Development Control & Regulatory Framework
Module 6
Marketing & Introduction to Real Estate Agency Industry
The course is conducted over approximately 3 months, with classes typically held on weekday evenings and weekends to accommodate working adults.
Application Process
Research and select an authorized course provider.
Register with your chosen course provider and submit the required documents.
Pay the course fees and select your preferred class schedule.
Attend all required sessions and complete the coursework.
Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate of Completion, which allows you to register for the RES Examination.
Required Documents
When applying for the RES Course, you will need to submit the following documents:
- NRIC or passport (for foreigners)
- Educational certificates (O/A Level certificates, diploma, degree, etc.)
- Employment Pass or other valid work pass (for foreigners)
- Recent passport-sized photograph
- Application form (provided by your chosen course provider)
Course Fees
The RES Course fees typically range from S$700 to S$900, depending on the course provider. Some providers may offer early bird discounts or promotional rates.
Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents may be eligible for SkillsFuture Credit and other training subsidies to offset the course fees.
